The death of someone can feel devastating and overwhelming. The grief that follows is a normal response to loss, but that doesn’t make it any less difficult or painful. Our free bereavement services provide support, guidance and opportunities to connect with others.
People experience grief differently. We offer a range of bereavement services, whether support is needed one-to-one, in a group setting or through self-guided resources.
Our R.I.S.E. (Resilience with Inspiration, Support and Empathy) Bereavement Therapy Groups provide a safe and supportive environment to explore grief alongside others. Some groups focus on specific experiences, including the death of a parent, suicide bereavement and Queer Grief for the LGBTQIA+ community. Sessions are held over up to eight consecutive weeks and facilitated by trained bereavement practitioners.
GRoWS (Grief Recovery with Support) is a monthly social group for people who are bereaved. Join for a cuppa and chat with others who understand.
Groups are on the second Wednesday of the month (5.30-7.30pm), the second Friday of the month (1.30-3.30pm) and the second Saturday of the month (10am-12pm).
Our Walk and Talk group is an opportunity to meet others who are bereaved, share experiences and spend time outdoors. Meeting every Friday in the beautiful surroundings of Alexandra Park, the group combines gentle walking, fresh air and conversation as part of a relaxed and welcoming group.
